Why visit China?

Visit China

In today’s difficult conditions, the tourism industry is in a state of some stagnation, however, as you know, any difficulties are temporary. In the foreseeable future, Ukrainian tourists will again have the opportunity to travel, including visiting China.

What is remarkable about this country?

First of all, China is famous for its thousand-year history and its many monuments. The Great Wall of China with a length of about 10 thousand kilometers is striking. Its construction began in the 3rd century BC. The wall is rightfully considered the most grandiose architectural structure ever built by human civilization. According to various estimates, up to a million workers were employed in its construction. Certain sections of the wall are open to tourists.

Forbidden City

The Forbidden City is the world’s largest palace complex located in the heart of Beijing. It includes over 900 buildings, led by an outer and inner palace. The complex is surrounded by parks and gardens. The buildings of the complex are surrounded by a wall. The premises of the palaces are decorated in the best traditions of Chinese architecture, using white marble and other exquisite materials.

Near the Forbidden City is the famous Tiananmen Square or People’s Accord Square, where the Mausoleum of the founder of modern China, Mao Zedong, was erected. This is one of the largest squares in the world.

Terracotta Army

One of the world famous landmarks of China is the famous Terracotta Army. This is a burial of more than 10 thousand clay (terracotta) statues of warriors, officers, generals, horses, gold and bronze chariots, located near the city of Xi’an. It is part of the complex of the Mausoleum of the first emperor of China – Qin Shi Huang. Each of the sculptures is human-sized. They are all unique, it is impossible to find two identical statues here.

According to the emperor, the terracotta warriors must guard him in the afterlife. Qin Shi Huang’s tomb itself has not yet become the subject of archaeological research. According to scientists, there is a large amount of mercury (mercury rivers) inside the mausoleum, which can pose a danger to the health of researchers.

Public and economic life in China

The modern social and economic life of China deserves special attention. The market economy is firmly rooted in the country, which is combined with the socialist system. The architecture of the main cities in China is striking. Huge skyscrapers, shopping and business centers, multi-level road junctions, magnificent highways, and these are not the only achievements of the Celestial Empire. The Chinese people are hardworking, suffice it to say that it takes 2-3 weeks for Chinese builders to erect a skyscraper. And don’t be skeptical about Chinese products.

In modern China, fairly high-tech products are produced that compete with the best Western models.
